Q1. What courier will you use to deliver my e-bike?
A1. We use BJS, a two man, fast and reliable UK delivery service, to get your Mycle Electric Bike to you quickly and safely.

 

Q2. How does your power assist work?
A2. Our power assist works by your bike having a sensor in the motor that detects your pedalling cadence, which activates the motor to the power level you select on the LCD display.

 

Q3.Can I fit a child seat?
A3. Our rear racks are a universal design so will fit most child seats with the adaptors the seat manufacturer includes. The Cargo however, has a unique rack design which is only compatible with our Thule Maxi rear child seat featuring an easy fit adapter.

 

Q4. I've scratched/chipped my bike. Do you sell touch up paint that is colour matched?
A4. We don't currently sell touch up paints but it is something we are looking into.

 

Q5. How does the bike secure the battery when the I’m shopping?
A5. Your bike features either a seat clamp with a unique hexagonal key lock or a n integrated battery lock to the frame, so you can lock the battery securely inside the seat post of your bike, and know it is safe.

 

Q6. When does my Warranty begin?
A6. Both our 12-month standard and upgradeable 24 month warranty start on the day your order is delivered to you

Q7. Do you offer E-Bike Insurance?
A7. We have partnered with cycleGuard to offer a discounted 15% off all electric bike insurance. All information on this can be found HERE. 

 

Q8. How do I turn the headlight on?
A7. Hold down the Level Up button for two seconds to switch on the front light.

 

 

General Electric Bike Questions

Q1. Can I leave my bike outside overnight?
A1. Some electric bikes have the battery integrated into the bikes frame design. Because e-bike batteries and their handlebar display units are required to be stored in a dry environment, ideally between 12-22°C, most e-bike must be stored inside.
However, you are able to store your Mycle e-bike outside if; you always store your battery inside in the required temperature conditions as set out in your user manual, and if the bike is covered with a waterproof cover to protect the electrical components and handlebar display from frost, condensation and excessive rain/moisture. We are working on a range of Mycle waterproof bike covers, coming soon.
If storing any bike outside, you'll need to make sure you follow a strict bike care routine to prevent dirt and water build up from causing rust.
If you are looking for a bike to store inside, our Compact folds to a small enough size to fit conveniently in the cupboard under the stairs!

Q3. If the battery runs out, does the bike still work?
A3. Yes! The Mycle e-bike is not like a motorcycle which you can't use if you run out of fuel. This is still a working bicycle even with no battery. The e-bike assists you in cycling making it easier for you to cycle, but if you wish to ride with no assist, that's also no problem. You never have to worry about being stuck anywhere without battery.

Q5. Can I take my electric bike on holiday with me?
A5. You will not be able to fly with your electric bike because the battery will not be allowed in the hold. However, we highly promote local living and our Mycle electric bikes are perfect for being a tourist in your own city or a holiday in the UK (where flying is not required).
